This makes us the perfect Eastern Cape hunting destination for your next hunting trip in South Africa.

In addition to Thaba Thala, we own a further minimum 75,000 Acres of mixed farming and extensive ranch land, with an abundance of indigenous game which can all be hunted.

The farm lies just 5 km from the small farming village of Sterkstroom and roughly 60 km from Queenstown, making it the perfect destination for hunting in South Africa.

Yes, you need a hunting license. You must be in possession of a valid hunting license at all times.

Stick to the hunting seasons for specified protected animal species that are proclaimed annually by the individual provinces in their hunting proclamations. Email us for any enquires you may have.

What is the hunting weather in South Africa?

In South Africa’s Eastern Cape, the weather is great for hunting, with moderate temperatures.

In March and April, it’s usually between 65F and 90F. During winter, from May to August, temperatures range from 40F to 85F, but in the North, nights and early mornings can get freezing.

In September and October, the temperatures range from 65F to 100F for late-season hunting.

How much does it cost to hunt in South Africa?
